Pixley mom, child safe after AMBER alert – Visalia Times

A Pixley mother and her 1-year-old son were found during a traffic stop after an AMBER alert was issued for themThursday.

The victims, Ashley Nicole Turner, 23, and her son, John, were rescued unharmed about five hours after her husband, Justin Turner, 29, allegedly forced them into a vehicle in Pixley at about 8: 30 a.m. Thursday.

Justin Turner was heard screaming at the victim, saying he was going to kill her, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department said.

A helicopter also helped in the search, the Sheriff’s Department said.

At 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the California Highway Patrol, after receiving word from the Sheriff’s Department, issued an AMBER alert.

Justin Turner was pulled over Ôªøat Avenue 120 and Road 120, about 3 miles north of Pixley.

He was arrested and could face kidnapping charges, the Sheriff’s Department said.
