Mom, 25, arrested on drug, child endangerment complaints in Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY – A mother was arrested on drug and child endangerment complaints after she fled an Oklahoma County sheriff’s deputy, authorities report.
Tonya Ann Chatham, 25, was arrested Saturday following a vehicle pursuit that ended near Interstate 40 and Scott Street, according to a sheriff’s report released Monday.
The deputy noticed a Jeep parked in the middle of the street near S Linn and W California avenues and noticed a woman sitting inside. When the deputy attempted to speak with the woman, she took off at a high rate of speed, according to the report.
The deputy reports the woman drove in a reckless manner at speeds in excess of 100 mph. During the pursuit, the deputy saw the woman toss a syringe out of her vehicle.
